Construction of Hoodi Railway Station: A Commuter-Friendly Milestone

Strategically situated between K R Puram and Whitefield, Hoodi in Bengaluru emerged as a crucial hub, hosting the renowned IT Park Limited, ITPL. Responding to a request from Whitefield Rising and other community organizations, I utilized my MPLAD funds to successfully fund and complete the construction of Hoodi Railway Station—a historic achievement as the first instance in our country where an MP actively contributed to the creation of a railway station. With its operational status, Hoodi Station eliminates the previously hazardous stopover at the Concor goods shed, providing thousands of daily commuters with a safe and hassle-free journey.

The station’s features, including raised platforms and a dedicated booking  counter, enhance efficiency and safety, while additional infrastructure like a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) further improves connectivity. As a symbol of progress, safety, and community-driven development, Hoodi Station reflects our collective vision for sustainable urban commuting in Bengaluru, making it a pivotal step towards a more sustainable future.
