Revitalizing Namma Metro

Advocacy for Namma Metro Phase 2 Resumption

As a proponent of effective public transportation, I’ve fervently championed the resumption of Namma Metro Phase 2 in Bengaluru. Despite the Union Government’s approval of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) in 2014, progress had been sluggish and the project nearly stalled. My intervention played a pivotal role in expediting the work citywide, ensuring its timely implementation.

Launching the Purple Line Expansion in Bengaluru without Formal Inauguration

Ensured the commencement of the Purple Line extension without an inauguration ceremony, following PM Shri Narendra Modi’s directive to BMRCL to start services on the new stretches (Challaghatta to Kengeri and Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield) without delaying operations for a formal event with VIP presence.

High-Power Transmission Line Relocation

Successfully championed the relocation of high-power transmission lines along the Whitefield Metro path, removing a significant obstacle and ensuring the seamless progress of the Metro extension for the benefit of commuters and the city.
